How to write the perfect love letter
The idea of love letters reminds us of faded envelopes tied together with string, truths and tears.
In a busy everyday life, we hardly have enough time to send a proper text message.
Writing a love letter to your loved one doesn't have to be difficult.
We have created an easy and clear guide that will help you reach your goal safely.
Step 1: Create the right atmosphere and mood
- Paper. Find some special stationery. Buy old-fashioned paper, cardboard or something with color at the bookshop
- Pen . Real letters are written with a ballpoint pen, fountain pen or other type of pen that cannot be whispered out. There are countless good writing pens in all price ranges. If things go a bit fast, a regular pen is perfectly fine.
- Sealing. Close the envelope with a sticker, symbol or small drawing. You can also use wax like in the old days, but it is not the quick solution.
Step 2: Choose a topic (use your creativity)
- It could be your partner's smile or eyes
- Nice body
- How you met
- Your partner's sense of humor
- That your partner is a fantastic parent
- Or something completely sixth
Step 3: Format
- Dating. Start by dating your letter with both the date and the year. After all, this letter will be saved and perhaps also re-read and remembered for many years to come.
- Regards. Use your partner's name or a cute nickname as the start of the letter, e.g. “My beloved Marco” or “Lovely darling” . It doesn't have to be formal.
- Introduction. Begin the letter with the reason why you are writing, for example: "I have been thinking for a long time about how I can express how much I love you and how much you mean to me" .
- Body text. The body can include why you fell for your partner or be related to the topic you've chosen. This could be, for example: how your life has improved since you got together, how much you miss your partner when you are not together, a list of all the things you have in common, some special memories you have together, or why your partner in particular is so amazing.
- Closing. Make sure to make a positive ending, for example: "Now I have lightened my heart and told you how much you really mean to me and how much I love you." End with a simple but heartfelt ending, such as "All my love to you" instead of the classic "regards."
Grab the pen and get started. Your partner will love you for it!
